Make It Possible ( Arduino 101) is a program developed by Intel with the purpose of giving our local youth the opportunity to learn and develop engineering and science skills through the use of technology. In addition to learning new skills, the program is a great opportunity for youth to engage with professional scientists and engineers and explore future careers.
The Arduino program is a set of 3 workshops (one per month) where youth; middle school and high school age learn to do programming on the computer and also learn about electric circuitry. The green board that you see is what they use, its really like a mini computer that fits in your hand. If you add sensors (like light, , movement, sound and touch) they can do amazing things like play a certain song when the light sensor sees a certain color , or turn on a fan automatically if a temperature sensor gets to a certain temperature.
Arduino 101 is now open for registration!
