El Grito Community Festival
Centro Cultural de Washington County and the City of Hillsboro proudly announce our annual "El Grito” Community Celebration at Hillsboro’s Shute Park. The third annual El Grito Community Festival will be hosted on Saturday September 14, 2019 from 3:00 PM-8:30 PM. The festival will include family activities, regional Latin food options, a concert, and a traditional "Grito" Ceremony. Thousands are expected to participate in the event, which kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month.

Practices: Every Monday at 5:00 PM Cost: $10/month Parents are expected to purchase dancing boots & shoes for participating youth. Centro Cultural provides outfits for both boys and girls. Danza AztecaAztec dancing is a mixture of thousands of years of history of both the agrarian and militaristic ethnic groups of the area, and the integration of pre-columbian and Christian rituals as evolved over the centuries.
