This is a temporary position. Temporary positions are limited to a maximum of 1040 hours per 12 month period. This position is expected to work for the 2018 Spring/Summer seasons.

The responsibilities of this position include a variety of moderate-level tasks to support kitchen and restaurant/picnic/banquet operations, including a high level of customer service in addition to advanced food prep, food service and delivery, opening and closing duties, kitchen clean up and dishwashing. This position requires independent work ability and restaurant experience. This position reports to the Sous Chef but will primarily receive daily task assignments from assigned lead.

These positions require some experience preparing and/or serving quick food specialty items. Sufficient education to demonstrate the ability to read instructions and to perform routine math calculations with accuracy. Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide excellent customer service.
We are a seven day a week operation. Schedules will be varied, so staff must be able to work multiple shifts including, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old to operate, repair or clean power-driven food slicers, grinders and choppers; bakery machines; and commercial mixers
• One year customer service experience.
• Valid Multnomah County Food Handlers Permit or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities.
• One year related experience in a commercial/restaurant kitchen and/or culinary school preferred.
