Job Description: Seeking line\prep cooks for lunch and evening shifts in a small kitchen at a taproom specializing in craft beer. Approximately 15 hours per week. Hourly wage based on experience & skills. Shared tips included for every shift. Free shift meal and (1) craft beer for each shift worked, and an employee discount on bottle purchases. We are conveniently located on the corner of 4th & Main in downtown Hillsboro, within walking distance of the TRI-MET MAX blue line at the SE 3rd transit center. Kitchen setup is most similar to a food cart, with no hood system, and no grill or range. Cooking is done with a commercial Panini oven, induction burner and a Turbo-Chef oven, with our creativity going into house-made mustard, pickles and sauces, many utilizing beer as an ingredient. Menu features sandwiches, sausages, and pretzels. Looking for an experienced individual to come join our kitchen team. Ideal candidate would have kitchen experience, including knife skills and basic cooking, but we're willing to train someone with a great attitude. We are looking for someone who is excited to join a new and growing business, with the ability to get more involved as our menu continues to expand. The right person will have a team mentality, but the ability to work well on their own and multi-task. Shifts will mainly be worked alone, and include washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen. Must have a food handler's permit, or ability to obtain one before start.
