Position Title: Executive Assistant to the General Manager of Visitor Venues

Salary: $58,182.00 - $79,146.00 annually

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who demonstrates experience supporting executive management and executing the details while understanding the strategic implications of the work. This candidate is a creative problem solver who enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service. This person has planned meetings, managed calendars, developed agendas, meeting materials and assisted with reports and has interfaced with elected officials, community members, and senior leaders.
This position also interfaces with management and administration teams at the Oregon Convention Center, Oregon Zoo, Portland'5 Centers for the Arts, Portland Expo Center, and the Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission (MERC).
Key duties include developing meeting agendas and supporting materials; coordinating policy and special projects; interfacing with clients and political stakeholders; and anticipating sensitive business issues of the visitor venues management team. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, identify potential issues and possible solutions, think strategically, navigate political environments and serve as an extension of the general manager are critically essential skills. The ideal candidate is a proven team player, solution-focused and highly motivated.

It is the intention of the hiring manager to fill this position at the low end of the salary range. Compensation will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
• Five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience; including at least one year of executive level support experience, and
• Associate's degree in Business Administration, Office Management or related field, or
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities
