Position Title: Executive Assistant

Salary: $58,182.00 - $79,146.00 annually
Position Summary:
Metro is seeking to fill the position of Executive Assistant to the General Manager of Visitor Venues. We are interested in receiving resumes from highly experienced candidates who will bring creative problem solving, a passion for people and providing excellent customer service as well as an organized work style to the office of the General Manager.
This position performs critical administrative and organizational development tasks for the executive management team of the Oregon Convention Center, Oregon Zoo, Portland'5 Centers for the Arts and Portland Expo Center, and the Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission (MERC). Key duties include developing meeting agendas and supporting materials; coordinating policy and special projects; interfacing with clients and political stakeholders; and anticipating sensitive business issues of the visitor venues management team. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, identify potential issues and possible solutions, think strategically, navigate political environments and serve as an extension of the general manager are critically essential skills. The ideal candidate is a proven team player, solution-focused and highly motivated.

It is the intention of the hiring manager to fill this position at the low end of the salary range. Compensation will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will have at minimum:
• Associate's degree in Business Administration, Office Management or related field OR applicable certification
• Five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience; support at the executive-level preferred
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities
