El Grito Community FestivalCentro Cultural de Washington County and the City of Hillsboro proudly announce our annual "El Grito” Community Celebration at Hillsboro’s Shute Park. The third annual El Grito Community Festival will be hosted on September 14, 2019 from 3:00 PM-8:30 PM. The festival will include family activities, regional Latin food options, a concert, and a traditional "Grito" Ceremony. Thousands are expected to participate in the event, which kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month.

Shute Park – Parque del Indio 750 SE 8th Ave., Hillsboro, OR 97123 Saturday, September 14th, 2019 Time: 3:00 PM-8:30 PM The all-new El Grito event is the successor to Centro Cultural’s “El Grito de la Independencia Festival", which previously took place in Cornelius at Centro Cultural’s main campus. The decision to move the event to Hillsboro’s Shute Park will allow the El Grito event to grow and engage new community members in appreciation of cultural equity and heritage in Washington County.
