Position Title: Intern – Construction Careers Pathway Project

This internship may be of special interest to a student interested in Construction or Project Management.
The Construction Careers Pathway Project (C2P2) Intern will be exposed to various learning opportunities in particular navigating the intersection of construction and capital projects with regional government and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
This internship provides first-hand exposure to careers in regional government and the construction fields. Facilitated through work in an office environment, this person will work with and learn from staff throughout the Metro organization and staff from our multiple jurisdictional partners. Through this experience, the Intern will refine time management, research and administrative skills, while taking on work and projects that will provide exposure to and develop skills in DEI concepts and programming, storytelling, project management and event planning.
This Intern will work in the Office of the COO. On a daily basis, the work performed position will be overseen by the C2P2 project manager and managed by the DEI Program Director.
Duration: mid June through early September
Schedule: Flexible, days, 20-40 hours per week; Monday - Friday

• Current college student
• Experience conducting Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis
• Experience performing in depth and complex research for project based work
• A current drivers license
