We are actively recruiting for a pool of candidates to fill several variable hour Juvenile Counselor I vacancies within Juvenile Services. The immediate vacancies are within Harkins House Basic Residential Facility with a need for overnight coverage in addition to other shifts.
Harkins House is a basic residential facility that is designed to provide residential care services based on an individual’s needs. Harkins House serves youth 12–17 years of age while providing individual and group skills training, recreational activities, counseling, and the opportunity to participate in a culinary arts program. Youth in the program are pending alleged violations of the law or are on probation
In this position you will provide supervision and skills building to juvenile offenders in residential care, home detention, and custody services. In addition, you may conduct needs assessments; interview and make referrals to community resources; monitor client activities, progress, and caseload records; document behaviors and incidents; as well as accompany juveniles to court.
