Career Coaching for Adults
Career Coaches at Centro de Prosperidad have been trained to help identify your strengths and skills for today's job market. We recognize that a one-size-fits-all approach to workforce development isn't appropriate for the current reality of employment: duties and job requirements are constantly changing as our work-places adapt to technology and global competition.
Our program begins by visualizing the many paths ahead. Is starting a small business the best way to maximize your skills? Are you unemployed and need a quick job to pay upcoming bills? Do you feel like you're ready to take a leap into a career, but don't know where to start? Do you need support receiving a certification, like completing your GED or learning a new technical manufacturing skill, to earn more?
These are questions our Coaches help our clients answer. We have a full service case management approach that puts you front and center. The result is a Career Map with concrete steps - made for you - to help you meet your career goals.
NextGen for Young Adults
The NextGen program offers supportive services to youth ages 17-24 facing barriers to employment and school.
NextGen provides opportunities for growth, such as: 8-11 week trainings in Health Care, Construction, Manufacturing, and Technology, where NextGen participants earn specific certification recognized in each of the industries. Each training gives participants the skills needed to gain entry level employment, with possible opportunities for paid internships or employment opportunities.
NextGen supports any career path young adults may choose. Whether that path is secondary education, a short-term career training, an apprenticeship programs or even full-time employment. Our goal is to give our participants the support they need to be successful in the career path they choose for themselves.
Nearly every job in today's market requires a High School Diploma or GED. If you find that a lack of education is impacting your ability to be competitive and earn more in the workplace, consider joining our tuition free workforce-focused GED program.
