REPORTS TO: Development and Communications Director
COMPENSATION: $14 - $18 / hour, Full Time Exempt

Job Description: Public Engagement Coordinator
The Public Engagement Coordinator is responsible for executing community engagement strategies, outreach events, management of partner relationships and basic communications relating to public engagement efforts at Centro. The Coordinator will work with major public agencies in the region on behalf of Centro and work closely with the Development and Communications Director to deliver
project deliverables. This position will focus on culturally specific communication and practices, racial equity principles, participant recruitment, meeting facilitation, event coordination, and report writing. This position may be asked to collaborate with other teams and committees to complete other duties as assigned.

Job Duties
- Work with partners to develop culturally specific marketing and outreach materials in tandem with other staff in the Public Engagement department.
- Ability to assess and implement policies, strategies and practices through a racial equity lens.
- Comprehensive and timely grant and contract reporting.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies for specific events and programs in portfolio of responsibilities.
- Coordinate event logistics and project team to execute event.
- Facilitate meetings for focus groups, project meetings, and more.
- Respond to partner in a timely manner regarding project and communication items.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience working with communities of color.
- Previous experience and/or training with professional event logistics.
- Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and ability to communicate well with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills by phone, in person, and via email with a high level of professionalism
- Bilingual Language Skills Requirement: Fluent writing, speaking and reading in Spanish & English
- Strong writing skills.
