CITY OF TIGARD- Senior Court Clerk
SALARY: $21.48 - $28.79 Hourly
OPENING DATE: 01/15/21
CLOSING DATE: 01/31/21 11:59 PM

OVERVIEW:
The City of Tigard's Court Division is currently recruiting for a Senior Court Clerk to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for assigning, reviewing and monitoring the work of other court staff. You will also perform a full range of judicial support duties which will include interacting with and providing information to defendants, processing judicial documents, taking and accounting for moneys, and serving as judicial assistant during court sessions. In addition, you will troubleshoot problems and perform the more complex duties as well as provide training, guidance, and technical and functional direction to staff as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, be an effective communicator who is passionate about the court, the law, and the processes involved in maintaining and improving court operations.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Oversees, trains and coaches court clerks in the operations of the court.
Develops work plans, timelines and resource allocations for assigned projects. Monitors progress to ensure objectives are met.
Maintains and oversees administration and updates for court case management system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade AND
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience in a court or legal setting including some experience in a lead role.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Union Representation: SEIU
Schedule: Currently 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday). Subject to change.
